The Department of Mathematics offers a Directed Reading Program (DRP). The goal of the DRP is to pair motivated/interested undergraduates and early graduate students with experienced graduate student mentors to conduct semester long independent study projects through one-on-one weekly meetings. The program is motivated towards the goal of introducing the mentees to digestible portions of higher mathematics as a way to prepare them towards success in graduate school. The program is open to undergraduate and early graduate students of all majors.
More information about the workings of the project, along with the topics proposed for this semester, can be found on the program website. For details, deadlines, and application instructions, visit the program website.
