Krishna Chebolu
MS in Applied Mathematics
5 Math Science Bldg

Krishna is a first-year master’s student in applied mathematics with a focus on computational methods, optimization, and interdisciplinary research at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Krishna enjoys tackling mathematical challenges in Earth and natural sciences, particularly in areas involving dynamical systems, differential equations, engineering applications and numerical methods.

Krishna received his undergraduate degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Truman State University. During his time at Truman, Krishna interned with The Boeing Company (2021,2022), Washington University in St. Louis (2024), and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2024).

His relevant past projects outside of institutionally funded research can be found in his CV above; some are: making a day-trading program for Bitcoin and gold, using mathematics to form policy to alleviate the environmental degradation of the Masai Maara Game Forest in Kenya, and building a model to determine the reliability of murder hornets encounters in Seattle, USA.

In the future, Krishna intends to conduct interdisciplinary research at the highest level by pursuing a PhD.
