Krishna Chebolu
MS in Applied Mathematics
40 Math Science Bldg

Krishna Chebolu is a graduate student in applied mathematics with interests in computational mathematics, optimization, and the modeling of complex systems. He enjoys exploring how mathematics can be applied to real-world challenges, specifically in the natural world and energy sciences.

Krishna studied mathematics with a minor in computer science at Truman State University and has since gained experience through research projects at NASA Ames, MIT, and Washington University in St. Louis. These projects exposed him to uncertainty quantification, numerical simulation, and data-driven modeling, while also sparking a broader interest in interdisciplinary problem solving.

Outside of research, Krishna enjoys working with his hands—especially repairing and maintaining cars—along with running, hiking, and skiing. Krishna also enjoys reading.

In the future, Krishna hopes to pursue a PhD and continue learning how mathematical thinking can be used not just for technical progress, but for addressing the wider questions of sustainability and society.
