The Mathematics Department is proud to announce that Professor Loukas Grafakos has been named a Curators' Distinguished Professor, the "highest and most prestigious academic rank the Board of Curators awards.'' 

Professor Grafakos has been a member of the faculty at MU since 1994.  He is recognized as a leading expert in harmonic analysis, and has authored multiple textbooks now widely considered seminal in the field.
